High Ropes Tree Adventure

Get ready for adventure at our brand new treetop high ropes course. Rising up to 8 meters from the ground, our tree-top adventure course will get your heart racing and your blood pumping as you navigate and traverse your way across 16 sections through the Cofton woods. Test your balance on tightropes and cross rickety bridges, soar across tyre swings and zip line back to the ground all whilst being safely harnessed in.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your session is due to start.

Welcome to Cofton Holidays High Ropes Course. Please ensure that you fully read the information below and once happy with the detail sign to confirm you have read and understand.

If you are under 16 years of age, please continue to read but a responsible person must also read and counter sign in the designated space. High ropes courses are a potentially dangerous activity, it is important that at all times you listen to your instructor and abide by the below information. If you are unsure at any point please do not hesitate to speak to a team member.

The High-Ropes is once around the course per session.

To take part you must be :

• Minimum of 8 years of age

• Maximum weight of 120kg

• Minimum of 1.2m height (Children aged 8-10 years of age should be accompanied by an adult to aid them with the belay system)

When participating you must ensure:

• Suitable clothing is worn – Preferably long sleeves, long trousers or long shorts.

• Clothing that is appropriate for the weather is worn e.g. warm clothes if windy/cold

• Any loose items of clothing e.g. toggles should be tucked away securely

• Long hair should be tied back and securely tucked away

• Jewellery or other items including watches, etc must be removed. (if not possible to remove team please speak to the team now to ascertain if you can participate.)

• Pockets are to be empty – phones/cameras not allowed.

• Suitable closed shoes or boots to be worn. Flip flops, sandals and high heels are examples of unsuitable footwear that would not be recommended.

• Personal medications that may be required should be carried during the activity in a secure manner that prevents dropping, entrapment and interfering with the fitting of the harness. If you require medication to be carried please discuss this with your instructor who will help to ensure you can safely carry this and are aware of its location if a medical emergency Pre – requisites

• At all times you listen to any safety brief/instruction provided by the instructor

• Conduct yourself in a way to not endanger yourself or others on the course, boisterous or dangerous behaviour may lead to your session being ended early

• If you have any pre-existing medical conditions; Head, neck, back or leg injury you should consult with your doctor prior to taking part. Heart conditions you should consult with your doctor prior to taking part. Have suffered a seizure or epileptic fit within the last 6 months you should not take part. Have had any surgical procedure within the last 12 months you should not take part, if over 12

months ago you should consult with your doctor prior to taking part. Your instructor will not be able to provide medical advice

• If you are pregnant you should not take part in the activity

• If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you should not participate

• Abusive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated

• Whilst on the high ropes course you have a duty to ensure you actions do not endanger others and ensure that you listen to any instruction given by the instructor.

Before you use the high ropes your lead booker will be required to confirm that you have all read through the high ropes information sheet and confirm that: 1- Your personal information provided above is correct 2- You meet all the pre-requites 3- You will abide by all instructions and rules in place and then provide the following signatures (done in person at course).
