Swimming Lessons

Does your little one need to improve their skills in the water? Are you worried about missing swimming lessons while on holiday? Why not book with us during your stay.

Learning to swim is important for so many reasons. We teach children and adults to learn to swim through 1:1 or 1:2 swimming lessons. The great news is, Cofton have now opened their doors for a brand new swim school, designed for children of all abilities, from those who have never swam before, to those who are competitive swimmers.

Our swimming lesson programmes adhere to the Swim England Learn to Swim (LTS) Programme stages 1 – 7. The focus is on helping swimmers to transition from the early stages into a club setting, complete with certificates and badges if required. We can also coach for specific events or to retrain adults to perfect their stroke. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you see water confidence improve.

Cofton's Swim Star school is delighted to have dedicated instructors all ASA qualified or equivalent. Participants will be assigned an instructor based on the availability and the swimmer's skill level.

Our indoor pool provides the perfect setting for your swimming lesson, with an even depth of 1.2 metres throughout the pool and areas cordoned off specifically for swimming lessons.

Private Swimming Lesson Information & Agreement.

Cofton Swim Stars is a swim school run by Cofton Country Holidays Ltd.  All lessons are in the indoor pool at Ashburn Springs unless otherwise stated.

Child 1:1 lessons cost £25 per lesson.

Child 1:2 lessons / Adult 1:1 Lessons cost £30 per lesson.

Lessons are scheduled in 30-minute increments and will begin at the scheduled start time, please ensure the swimmer is ready poolside 5 mins before the lesson is due to start. If the swimmer is late, a charge will still apply, and the lesson will continue until the scheduled finish. Lesson time may fluctuate based on the swimmer’s physical abilities, experience, and willingness to participate during the lesson.

Children that are enrolled in private lessons may only use the pool during their scheduled lesson time. A maximum of one adult can accompany the private swim lesson participant in the water if required (learning difficulties, experience), if this is checked with the instructor prior to the lesson commencing. In all other situations, parents or guardians must spectate from the outside viewing area (not poolside).

All private swimming lesson instructors are DBS checked, ASA Level 2 qualified or have an STA Level 2 Award/Certificate. Participants will be assigned an instructor based on the availability listed on his/her registration form and the swimmer’s skill level. Under certain circumstances lessons may be cancelled due to instructor availability.  In such cases, adequate notice for cancellation will be given, and we will do our best to provide a substitute teacher, however this cannot be guaranteed.  Specific instructor requests can be made directly on the private lesson enquiry form.
